Valentine's Day

Our vintage and costume jewellery uses historical influences for an innovative collection, with natural materials and stones giving each piece unique variations in shape and colour. Medieval jewellery was largely ecclesiastical with gold crosses inlaid with gems, enamel and pearls. Victorian jewellery was decorated with Marcasite, which became an affordable alternative to diamonds during the Victorian era when motifs were largely naturalistic. This continued through to the early 20th Century Art Nouveau period. By the Art Deco era, geometric shapes and contrasting colours dominated, as is reflected in our retro jewellery collections.
